Chapter 1 - I Am Not a Trash

The Zhongnan Himalayas are the highest point in the Himalayas and the most blessed place on earth.

There were allegedly tens of thousands of undiscovered cultivators in the mountain. There were all kinds of people there, including a lot of uncommon expertise.

At this very moment, a bearded man was standing in front of a grave that lacked even a gravestone, close to the observation platform at the base of the mountain.

The Feng Shui design of this graveyard would make any expert who was familiar with the practice break out in a cold sweat.

Who the hell would dare to pick this location?

"Your grandson is back, grandfather," The man spoke inaudibly while lowering his head.

Qin Sheng was his name. He was 1.8 meters tall, 26 years old this year, and not particularly attractive.

Then he gave his grandfather's grave a bottle of Xifeng 375 to drink. This booze was a favorite of his grandfather's, who consumed one bottle daily.

Since leaving this city—known as the Ancient Capital of Thirteen Dynasties—Qin Sheng had been gone for two years. He could now at last go back.

He had only recently received his university degree more than two years prior, but his grandfather had passed away at the age of 89. Before passing away, his grandfather had told him he could not come back for two years.

From that time on, Qin Sheng traveled to the north and south, stopping at well-known mountains and rivers, as instructed by his grandfather. He would never forget how many times he had managed to escape the grave.

"Grandfather, tomorrow I'm flying to Shanghai. During the Chinese New Year, I'll return to see you. Look after yourself." After cutting the grass off of the grave, Qin Sheng said indifferently.

However, as his grandfather had already passed away, Qin Sheng was unable to ask any of the many questions he had for him.

He wasn't a citizen of Xi'an, for instance. He only knew that when he was four years old, his grandfather brought him here,

He then established himself here. He had no idea where he had come from or who his parents were.

He had inquired of his grandfather, but grandfather had never responded. He just stated that when the time came, he would be aware of it.

Qin Sheng left after spending some time with his grandfather.

He had just returned but had to depart the next day. He needed to see some pals.

The two guys who had been hidden in the jungle slowly stepped out after Qin Sheng departed.

"Master, are we really not going to see him?" The big man, his eyes filled with murderous purpose, murmured respectfully to the middle-aged man next him.

The middle-aged man with comfy linen shoes bowed his body slightly. His skin was wrinkled and his hair was somewhat white. He didn't say anything, but his aura made everyone nervous. He squinted at the departing Qin Sheng, then at the nondescript tomb beside him.

"He's left. I'm curious what kind of monster this old man can conjure up." The man in his forties scoffed.

It took 20 minutes to go from the mountain's foot to the road, but before he got there, three individuals stopped him. These three individuals had plainly evil motives.

"Young man, hand that thing over and we'll let you go." The group's leader was having fun with a dagger as he smirked and grinned dismissively.

"From Sichuan to Xinjiang, Xinjiang to Qinhai, Qinhai to Xi'an, aren't you tired?" Qin Sheng chuckled.

"Don't waste your breath with us, or you'll suffer the consequences!"

"How many times have I told you?" groaned Qin Sheng. I don't have anything from your Song Family. Why don't you trust me? "Do people trust one another?"

"Looks like we can only make one move!" The man was enraged.

Qin Sheng thought it was uninteresting and didn't want to explain. He responded flatly, "Come on, don't make a scene if you can make a move."

When the three guys heard this, they ran towards Qin Sheng without saying anything.

"Do you all think I'm a piece of trash?" Qin Sheng's mouth corners curved up slightly. He would have dealt with these followers long ago if it hadn't been for his grandfather's advice to keep a low profile.

Now that the period that Grandpa specified has past, he no longer has to keep a low profile. After all, if you'd been loathed by others for so long, they'd actually believe you were garbage.

Qin Sheng kicked one of the soldiers in the wrist and grasped the cold steel knife in his hand when he was standing in front of him. He knelt to evade the surprise assault, then struck the man in the leg with the knife.

The other two men had already overtaken him. Qin Sheng carefully evaded their constant blows, seeking for an opening to strike the man on the left in the chest, breaking the man's two ribs. Then he leaped high and ee'd the man on the side.

The man on the right side had already hit Qin Sheng's back with his dagger at this point. Qin Sheng spun around and ducked, his hands seizing the guy's wrist and plunging the dagger into the shoulder of the man on the left side, the final punch striking the jaw of the man on the right side and knocking him unconscious, but he didn't stop there; instead, he brought out his dagger and stabbed it into the man's right arm.

The battle was over in a matter of minutes. Qin Sheng was unharmed, and the three guys had already lost their fighting skills. They no longer posed a threat to him.

Why couldn't you believe I wasn't a jerk?

"Come on, take out your cell phones," Qin Sheng remarked, a malicious grin on his face.

The three severely damaged guys looked at Qin Sheng, perplexed. They had no notion what he was attempting to do. They weren't expecting him to be that ferocious. Was he not powerless? Who said it?

"Are you not doing it?" Then I'll do it myself," Qin Sheng snarled, taking out the phones of the three guys.

Qin Sheng grumbled as he held the phones, "Damn, I'm still using the old Nokia, you guys already have iPhone 6s, you really are rich."

Qin Sheng then flung his phone on the ground, much to the surprise of the three guys. He stepped on it, yelling, "I'll let you f * cking chase after me!" I'll let you do the running!"

Qin Sheng soon fully destroyed the three phones. The three men wanted to cry but couldn't find any tears. They even planned to commit suicide. If no one helped them in the solitude of the mountains, they would die from massive bleeding sooner or later if no one intervened.

Qin Sheng then withdrew, leaving behind only three men who had paid "respects" to Qin Sheng's forefathers for the previous eighteen generations.

He cleaned himself up, shaved, and changed his clothing before leaving the Zhongnan Mountains. It was already afternoon when he returned to town. Qin Sheng was on his way to a little area in the city's southern outskirts, where his benefactor resided. He had lived here since primary school and considered the family's two elders to be his own parents. If it hadn't been for his grandfather's denial, he might have already recognised them as foster parents.

"Sheng'er, you've returned. What have you been doing over the last two years?"

"Do you realize how worried we are?" A middle-aged woman hugged and sobbed as Qin Sheng entered.

Qin Sheng was at a loss for words. He knew ladies regarded him like their own kid, so he could only hold her and let her express her feelings.

The woman eventually regained her calm and sat down with Qin Sheng. She had arranged a table full of food because she knew Qin Sheng was returning.

"I know everything about the family, Aunt." Do you have good health? "How is Uncle Lin doing inside?" Qin Sheng stated gently.

He was aware that his family had nearly crumbled in the two years he had been gone.

Uncle Lin had been set up and imprisoned by someone, and his firm had been taken over by outsiders. He was on the verge of losing his family.

"Sheng'er, your Uncle Lin's life is full of bitterness..." Wang Li began to cry again when she brought this up.

Qin Sheng felt a pang of remorse. Despite the fact that they were not his original parents, he had long since been a member of their family. He should be able to endure the burden as a member of this family, as the sole guy aside from Uncle Lin, but...

"It's OK, Aunt. Consider it a blessing in disguise. Grandfather had predicted a disaster in Uncle Lin's middle age for a long time, and he should have known it. But there's still hope as long as he's alive." Aunt Wang was consoled by Qin Sheng.

"Your Uncle Lin is all right. He has already dismissed these concerns..." Wang Li brushed her tears away with a shake of her head.

"Besides, didn't I just come back?" Qin Sheng said. I'll come up with a strategy to assist Uncle Lin later."

"Sheng'er, if you can't assist me with your Uncle Lin's affairs, don't hurt yourself." As long as you and Xinxin are okay, I'm okay." Wang Li was unconcerned with Qin Sheng's statements. Qin Sheng was simply an average youngster, and Old Lin was interested in a variety of activities; what could he do to help?

"Oh, right, Aunt, where is Xinxin's college?" Qin Sheng stated his dissatisfaction. Xinxin was Uncle Lin and Aunt Wang's only child.

She was a few years younger than Qin Sheng, and Qin Sheng had always treated her like a younger sister.

"She fled to Shanghai because you studied there." Aunt Wang was torn between laughing and crying.

"Shanghai, this is good," Qin Sheng said enthusiastically. I'm leaving for Shanghai tomorrow. In the future, I will be able to care for Xinxin."

"But you just came back?" Aunt Wang was taken aback.

Qin Sheng accompanied Aunt Wang to supper. His eyes were red when he ate the Eight Treasures chili bun for the second time. Others said he was an orphan since he only had his granddad and no parents.

He could only find a sense of belonging here.

Grandfather remarked that you didn't have to mention out loud who had done you a favor; just remember it in your heart and stand out when they needed you.

As a result, whomever tormented Uncle Lin's family knew that Qin Sheng would repay the "favor" sooner or later.

Qin Sheng left the Lin Family after supper and went to a BBQ plaza on the north side of Yan Ta Road. There's a restaurant named Shu Nan Bamboo Stick Barbecue that serves pretty good food. Whenever he returned, he would always bring a few pals with him.

Qin Sheng came ahead of schedule. He contacted his four closest buddies.

Everyone was startled by his reappearance, but only two individuals could attend. Qin Sheng was silent on the subject.

He realized that life was continually going forward, and that many things would never be the same again.

"Damn it, Old Qin, we all thought you'd gone missing." "What have you been doing for the last two years?" His two closest companions came at the same moment. Meng Zhe, the one who talked, was really attractive. They used to call him "pretty boy" all the time.

"Damn. When you phoned, I assumed you were a liar, but I had no idea it was you!" Hao Lei cursed angrily. He had previously served as a soldier and had recently returned from the military. He was tall and slim.

"Please have a seat. Some things are difficult to put into words." Qin Sheng grinned as he wrapped his arms around his two dearest mates.

"Waiter, 3 boxes of 9 °, 20 Yuan of meat, 20 Yuan of kidneys, 3 pieces of sesame seed cake, 1 dish of roast eggplant, 1 piece of cake..." Hao Lei exclaimed when the three of them sat down.

"We're not coming back tonight until we're drunk!" Meng Zhe smiled broadly.

People needed to drink in this world, but only by drinking with the appropriate person could they enjoy themselves to the fullest. If one were to drink with someone who was dull, it would be pointless.

As a result, Qin Sheng was overjoyed.

"F*ck you!" I'm not scared of you! No coming back till we're drunk!"

They clinked their glasses three times before eventually started to talk.

"How have you been these past two years?" Qin Sheng inquired.

"I was recently demobilized and have yet to find work." Old Meng has already been married. He is getting married next year. You'd best not go missing if it happens!" Hao Lei burst out laughing.

"What about them?" says the author. Qin Sheng persisted in his inquiry.

"Old Xu and Wu Yong are no longer on the same boat with us," Old Meng moaned. You most likely made a phone call as well. We had only seen each other a few times every year. You know what I'm going to say..."

"Then let's stop talking,Drink!" Qin Sheng grumbled.

"Come on, come on, come on. "Drink, drink, drink!"

It was just October, so the temperature was still a little hot and stuffy. People were eating meat and drinking, laughing and scolding in the barbeque plaza, which was humming with bustle. It was a familiar setting, a familiar sensation.

Qin Sheng thought it was all beautiful.

"What happened to you these two years, Old Qin?" "Can you elaborate?"

"We'll discuss it further in the future." It's fine in either case."

"What do you intend to do in the future, you brat?"

"Train at 1:00 a.m." I'm heading to Shanghai when I finish drinking with you. I'll be developing in Shanghai from now on..." Qin Sheng elaborated.

He had nothing to conceal from his closest companions.

"Shanghai? Su Xin appears to have also remained in Shanghai."

"Old Meng, shut up!" When Hao Lei heard this, he quickly came to a halt. Meng Zhe understood he had spoken the incorrect thing as well.

"Nothing, just say what you want to say," Qin Sheng shook his head. Everything is now in the past."

"Drink, drink, and stop spouting nonsense!"

They had already departed before they could drink the three cartons of beer. After all, Qin Sheng was taking the train later, and the others had things to do tomorrow.

To go to the railway station, Qin Sheng boarded a cab. He didn't bring much with him.

His eyes were foggy as he sat in the taxi, looking out the window at the city at night. The mottled walls tell a narrative about the passage of time. The road's familiar name has already changed. The city was like an elderly man in his twilight years, standing on the sidelines and watching the changes of the times.

When the train began to move, Qin Sheng realized he was about to embark on a new voyage...
