Chapter 41: Vemond mansion.
Loren soared high into the night sky. His master's excitement was contagious and he was eager to reach the places he was asked to.
Lawrence looked at the land below. This was the land he had inspected countless times by now. But never knew there were places hidden from his sight.
The king looked back, hearing the flapping of wings. He frowned looking at another griffin behind them.
"What are you doing here Dexter?" Lawrence questioned. He didn't ask him to follow him.
"Apologies your majesty. The queen asked me to stay with you and bring you back by morning." Dexter replied calmly.
Though his voice was as calm as ever, Lawrence can clearly sense the amusement in his tone.
He gritted his teeth. His wife always sent this Dexter to keep an eye on him.
"Shouldn't you be in palace and protect the queen?" Lawrence coldly asked again.
