Hi my name is Tessa and I am 16 years of age, I live with my mom and without a DA since I was three, the truth is that I never got to see him and never received anything from him, my mom divorced him when I was three. I have a male best friend named Nathan, but it actually didn't start up like that, Nathan's mum moved to our neighborhood when I was just a year old and Nathan two, soon after she and my mom became great friends like sisters. She was the one that advised my mum to divorce my dad, that she would be better off without him. With time I and Nathan became great friends too, but at first he was nothing like a friend, he would pull my hair, pour me water, drag me into mud puddles and the one I hated the most was chasing me around with frogs, but as time went by we Started to bond and he acted differently, he would defend me against bullies, name callers and bossy brats, it was seriously like he was my bodyguard. My mom and his opened their own personal company for clothes( fashion bill) and became co-owners to one of the biggest fashion modeling in the city of Los Angeles.
I'm 16 years old now but I remember all that like it was yesterday, I guess time flies by when you have great friends and good support. So I and my mum had just told me that she was considering getting married again, I was honestly numb, I didn't know how to feel(happy or sad). I was all about thinking of how to adjust to his ways and most importantly I was fine with the way things were, just me and my mum, I no longer had issues with not having a dad or people teasing me about not having a dad and not knowing how it felt having a dad, I mean I was older now and more mature. So my mum is yelling "cone on hunny!!, come down stairs it's time for breakfast", I'm brushing my hair while walking down stairs" I'm here mom, you can stop yelling ", I said as I arrive the kitchen and my is looking at me with an unusual worried face" hunny, sit let's have breakfast today together like a family ", she said as I take my sit,"yh, sure thing mum, you look worried, why's your face like that?, and you know you can tell me anything no matter how hard it is, we are to share everything cause I tell you mine in every single detail, mom please don't bother yourself to much, I'm here with you", I said to her with reassuring smile and take my sit. " Well the thing is that", she stops and looks at me, takes a sit right beside me, grabs my hand and put them in hers, then continues, "hunny whatever happens I would like you to know I will always love you and nothing would ever change the relationship between us, it will always be strong and your forever welcome to tell me anything".
I slightly interrupt her" mum please stop saying all these blah blah blah, I know all these, just go ahead tell me what the buzz is, I'm ready for anything u want to say okay, but not all though, but I can make an adjustment for you", I said as I gave her a big smile," okay then I guess here goes, the thing is that, I have been thinking and I want to get married to this guy he is the owner of an underwear company and sells cars too, plus he is really caring, he knows how it's feels to be a single parent and also has a son about your age so he can deal with teenagers, so please tell me what you think and please be really honest". I looked at her with a smiley face but my heart had melted, I didn't know how to feel but I was happy at the same time," so your telling me they I would have a dad that you say is caring and would be understandable too, I don't know how to feel, I know it would be good but I'm really anxious too, can you please arrange a day for all of us to meet?", I asked as I hesitated and I swore I felt my heart pound, "sure thing hunny, I will surely arrange a meeting for us all" she said as she stands up and collects the plates and says good luck to you have a fun day at get something for me if you can Hun, have fun at the mall with your classmates, though I would prefer you call them friends " she said with a smile," nope definitely not mom, only hang out with them for company, don't forget what they did to me before, they are huge jerks and assholes", " mind your language young woman " she said as she laughs and waves me bye.
" Bye mum" I say as I carry my bag and exit the house to catch the bus.
