'Where is she? Could it be that she was indeed gone? That is impossible though!' he sat on the throne, filled with disturbing thoughts as he tapped the desk, ignoring the stack of memorials in front of him.
"Hah~" he couldn't help but sigh as he raised his head, stopping from the tapping as he looked to the front.
"If only I had convinced you to come here. Then maybe this wouldn't have happened!" he lamented, his tone filled with regret and a sense of loss.
Rowan regretted it so much, he wished he could turn the hands of time to change the past.
He thought that the guards he sent to protect her in secret were enough to deal with the situation.
He thought that the people hiding in the shadows would at least wait for a while before they made a move. But he underestimated their eagerness and greed.
