Madam Kudzai clutched her quilt as she trembled, her gaze darting all over the room.
She felt very scared as the numerous sounds outside were scaring her.
She didn't know what was happening outside, but whatever it was, it didn't make her feel that good.
It's been a while since the noise started. Afraid of making her presence known, she could only shut her mouth and pray to the deities that if there were intruders, they wouldn't come for her.
She had been obedient for a long time and hadn't offended anyone. So, what could that be?
She trembled fearfully in her room and when the noises quieted down; she shook even more as she saw shadows zooming past by the window.
This time, she couldn't hold it. If she hadn't seen the shadows, she might have pretended that it was just an illusion, but now she couldn't.
