Ms. Adams was a bit taken aback as she looked at her boss, chatting familiarly with a person she knew pretty well.
Although she doubted that the other person knew her, she had seen the other plenty of times.
She just didn't know how her boss knew of Mr. Dickens or even the other three men with him.
The four men were quite influential and people she would need to greet with respect upon meeting.
"I wasn't expecting to see you so soon. How is everything?" Tapiwa familiarly asked Chris with a smile, recalling how she had dropped the worried man and his wife at the hospital yesterday.
Chris understood what she was talking about, so he answered as earnestly as he could, "The situation is much better than we thought. We can only be grateful."
Tapiwa nodded, insinuating in her mind that whoever was sick was currently in the clear. It wasn't serious. As long as it wasn't serious, then everything would be fine.
