The house that was assigned to Tapiwa and her girls was spacious and perfect to stay in for a day or so.
To Tapiwa, who was used to staying in luxury, she didn't want to stay for long. However, considering that the house was one of the best that the village left, especially to welcome guests, Tapiwa had to make do.
Grandma Biel was in charge of her, so she had a few girls boil some water for everyone. They all took turns to wash up, which was refreshing for the girls, as it's been a while since they had a proper bath.
After bathing, Tapiwa wore a kaftan with a pair of beaded sandals and wore a headscarf over her head, as she didn't want the smoke to contaminate her hair later on.
She had heard from Grandma Biel that there was going to be a banquet later. It was being held to welcome them, so she had to attend.
She couldn't dress in a way that she loved lately, so she just wore what every woman was normally supposed to wear.
