She was born and surrounded by mages from a young age and had suffered too much by being close to those people.
The comparison and being looked down upon was simply too much for her that she wanted to just leave.

And being in that place, she didn't want to leave at all. She had learned a lot of things and wasn't willing to go out there and suffer the suffocation of keeping traditions just because men were around.
