Aisha was hardly awake and could feel immense pain in her neck and it stretched down to her spine. But the pain was bearable. She knew she was not dying, her heart was still beating. Fortunately, in this life, she had found a strong ally and was not alone.
Maya fell to her knees after seeing Aisha's condition. Aditya ignored her shattered maid and rushed to place her into the bed, fearing that her neck injury might worsen. Karan helped Maya up and asked her if they had a doctor. She nodded and guided him to the doctor.
Aditya stroked her hair and asked, "Aisha? Do you hear me?" She couldn't reply, or nod or move her body to give any signal that she could hear him. Yet soon her vision started to turn blur. She knew that she had to stay awake until the doctor arrived and hence moved her hand to pinch her thighs. Aditya quickly caught her hand in his. "Stop that. Don't hurt yourself. The doctor will be here soon."
