As per her wishes, he wasn't treated completely. Hindered by unattended wounds and insufficient nourishment, John had no energy left in him to even utter a single word out of his damned mouth. All John could get was a loaf of bread once a day. A repetitive cycle of the same food delivery could turn a healthy person into a maniac. Affecting him both mentally and physically.
