Chapter 8 - An Amusing Meeting

This was the first time she ever had such a long, extended, and rather threatening conversation with her brother, in which the one who threatened the other was her.

When Aisha had just come out of the well, she didn't know she had a brother or a father or that she had killed her mother. She didn't even know the meaning of these words.

Aisha met her brother for the first time while she was strolling in the garden of the mansion. At first glance, he looked so handsome and gentle when she saw him lying on the grass, crossing one leg over another and his hands below his head, used as a pillow.

Little Aisha was very happy to find out she had an older brother. This was after her nanny had recited several kindergarten stories to her.

What is a brother? A supporter, a friend, a family, one who is always there for you. That's what Aisha had learned. But in their very first meeting, she knew her brother was nothing like what the stories had described. Hansel and Gretel was just a fairy tale.

"Who do you think you are, stepping into my garden like an airhead?" Little Neel asked Aisha who was kneeling next to him. It was annoying to find a girl out of nowhere sitting next to him like a doll. For him, it was a doll his father had brought not a sister.

"Um, I— I am your sister. You might not know me but—" Before Aisha could finish, Neel suddenly got up, startling Aisha and making her fall on her butt.

"I know you." He faced Aisha and extended his hand to help her up. "However—" after Aisha had held the hand of a monster named Brother, that monster pulled her up strongly making her soft bones crack. "— you are no sister, you are a blood slave." He smiled, beautifully.

After that Neel threw Aisha back on the ground and stared at her like an animal ever ready to feast anywhere, anytime. "Next time you come near me, you will not just return with some broken bones." And he left her in dismal.

Satisfied by everything that happened, Aisha threw herself on the bed immediately upon seeing it.

'I'm exhausted. Getting A little rest wouldn't harm me.'

The room that had turned dark already had some silver rays coming in through the window when Aisha woke up. 'Oh my! It's already night?'

No one had come to wake Aisha up. It must have already been midnight, but no one cared about her dinner. All of this didn't bother Aisha much. She had no expectations from others but the fact that Maya also didn't wake her for dinner made her feel a little sad.

Aisha walked out of her room in the same nightgown she had worn last night and in the morning. In short, she hadn't even taken a bath today, but somehow she was hungry.

The cold floor of the corridor had turned colder now that it was already night and the moon was brightly up in the sky. Aisha passed her father's study and went near the stairs intending to check the kitchen to hunt some food but before she could descend the stairs a strong arm pulled her and then pushed her in the opposite direction from the stairs.

The push was so sharp and strong that she fell directly on the cold floor injuring her arm that had to take up all her weight. Aisha looked at her arm and then towards the person who had done it.

However, unfortunately, she couldn't quite get a glimpse of that person's face. The light emitted by the moon had disappeared, Aisha looked outside the window nearby and realized why. The clouds had covered up the moon.

Of course, it didn't seem like the cloud had any intention of getting off the moon soon. Aisha could hear the forwarding steps of the unknown man.

'Who could it be? Father? No! He would never get out of his room like that. Then who?'

As Aisha was still struggling trying to get a glance at the person's appearance, A wave of thought crossed her mind. 'Neel? Did he come to kill me for what I had said to him earlier this morning? '

'He can do this. This is something normal for him. He has done this before doing it again is not a big deal.'

'But I didn't say anything that harmful, for him to be so upset to come and kill me. What's wrong with him? '
