Chapter 21 - Chapter 20: The Phyrillic Mountains

My name is Phyrilla, at least that's what I remember being my name from the day I awakened.

I from a young age was followed and adored, respected and loved, from my peers to those below and those above.

The primordial spirits gave me their blessings, and crowned me Queen of the spirits.

Quite frankly I don't know what I'm supposed to do as Queen and so.... I didn't, I lived life like I always did, played as I always did and this made my people happier.

Skotadi of Darkness was a friend of mine, he would always scold me for being too naive and teach me politics and whatnot he picked up over the years. He would teach me of my purpose and always tried to guide me straight, he was a father to me in more ways than one.

Fos of light was a friend too, she would always steer me in the path of compassion and goodwill, she would teach me on what was wrong and what was right, she taught me morality in the fields of frolicking, she was a mother to me.

Fotia of Flame, my big brother, he who had a temper like the flames taught me risks and thrill and how to live within the moment. Mother always said he was a bad influence and yet never told him to stop whenever we went to play, he taught me fun

Nero of Water, my big sister, she taught me how to be cool and calm, how to pace my mind and be tranquil with my thoughts and actions, she taught me composure and temperament.

Gi of Earth my other big brother, he taught me strength of all aspects be it mind body and soul, he taught me how to be a shield and an anchor, to always be dependable while not failing into vulnerability myself, to this day I still don't know which lesson he was teaching me

Aeras of Air, she was another big sister if mine, she taught me swiftness in all I do, speed of mind and body, she always whispered in my ear "Phyrilla darling, don't be slow or all will be lost, as much as your giggles are amusing when your slow with your steps many will overtake you." Her message was tricky to understand but I guess what she meant was for me to be confident...Self-confident.

And then there's the mysterious Aunt and Uncle who where always there but weren't

Choros and Chronos. They they taught me stealth, secrecy and mystery.

As I grew older the lessons varied by the core of it never changed.

We were happy by ourselves , I trained my little brothers and sisters as we enjoyed life, until....

The Elves found us, they fell to their knees and started worshipping us, I tried to ask the others for advice but they refused on the matter saying I was Queen.

And so I ordered the elves to not worship us, as we begun to mingle they grew the world tree that was in their possession at the border of our two clans.

We came to an understanding with them and shared ideas and works for years.

And then the humans came, they however were aggressive in their approach and captured one of my little brother to study.

I marched to their kingdom and razed it to the ground without consulting my family, and that's were the humans came again.

They demanded compensation for the death of their people and as such brought forth a contract that would make the spirits serve them for an entire decade.

My father disagreed and so did I, but that was exactly what they were betting on.

War broke loose between our two races, the elves aided us as we pushed back the humans. But they persisted with every battle.

I grew annoyed and as such eradicated the entire Human kingdom not sparing a single soul, but surprisingly one did survive.

A baby boy who at first glance was merely human, but when brought to the presence of my family, Skotadi sighed as he told us the child was a reincarnation, most probably a hero.

My family was split into two one wanted to save the baby and raise it while the other wanted to kill it and be done with it

I who was stuck in between made an alternative choice "I'll raise him outside our lands and once he grows enough I'll leave him in the closest human city."

Two decades passed until I left the young one on his own devices time past again as we came to forget about the humans. But once around hundred years or so was when the humans found my clan once more.

But this time that were more civil however their image to us spirits was at the lowest and so all sorts of negotiations didn't go anywhere.

The human king grew frustrated as he had already eyed our resources, he chose the only way he could see, war.

But this time we were prepared and I just as before razed them to the ground, but among those from the kingdom was the boy I raised.

His eyes were red filled with tears as he cursed "Your a murderer, you killed my family, I'll never forgive you."

That was one of the first time I felt hurt, I had lived the boy like I did my own but the words he said dug deep.

I hesitated to strike but he did not and so for the first time since I came to be I was injured

I fled back to my Clan and for the first time gave out a decree.

"Skotadi, Fos take my people into the realm you chanced upon are rebuild our roots, humanity will not stop until we are enslaved to them.

I will borrow the Elven tree, make haste and leave for I shall not join you.

Train my little sisters and brothers for me, Salamander, Sylphy, Undine, Gnome those four shall be the next Queens of spirits if I am not to return within a century and

Zoi (Life), Mors(Death) Makani (Spatial), Tempus (Time) will be their Generals and aids.

I will take care of the mess I started goodbye mother, father, brothers and sisters may the dates allow our next encounter."

The primordials reluctantly agreed to her request it being the first time she actually gave one.

Phyrilla faced the humans again and fought her adoptive son once more, but their numbers never decline and so she took refuge at the Kings mountain, as it was called back then, her blood covered the peaks upto it's base, she felt her injuries worsening and as such let out her most powerful attack which tore through the earth birthing a valley that was never their.

She then cursed all those that had ill will towards her race and banished them to depths of the valley which came to personify her negatives.

And us such the Phyrillic mountains and Valley were born the resting place of a primordial Queen and A Hero.
