Chit-chats filled the room as people entered the once empty classroom. I mostly ignored all the buzz, knowing that it's just useless chattering. I shifted my focus on the open window beside me. My eyes wandered around the scene outside before landing on the familiar figure of my best friend running through the quad. The side of my lips lift a little as I internally laugh at my best friend who was in a rush. I knew why he was like that and it's just so funny to me. It doesn't take long for him to reach our classroom. Soon enough, he was collapsed on his seat beside mine, panting and gasping for breath. He looked like death but holding back my laughter might just kill me. So, I let go and laughed my ass off, earning a glare from my bestie.
"It's not funny Ami!" he whined, slapping my shoulder lightly. I ignored his state and continued to laugh my ass off.
"B-but it is funny!" I burst out.
"It's not! You fucking made me believe that I was late! And you know that I can't be late anymore!" he whined as I gathered myself.
"I'm sorry Noah. I just had to do it. I was given the perfect opportunity and I had to take it. It's not my fault you passed out after that movie last night."
"Whatever Ami! Anyways, did you hear about that new club that opened at 7th street last week?" he asked, shifting the conversation from my prank to something else.
"There's a club there?" my head tilting to the side as I looked at him cluelessly.
"Did you really not know?!" he looked at me in disbelief.
"Nope?" I replied, emphasizing the p, making it pop.
"Damn, girl! I knew you preferred staying at home with your books and your movies and your fuzzy blanket and your cozy bed, but I thought you would've at least heard about that new club! I mean, Amanda has probably been there a couple of times already!"
"First of all, my friend, you are so right about my love of staying home all night. And second of all, Amanda doesn't live with me anymore. She moved out of our apartment last week."
"Anyway, now that you know about that club, we are soooo going there tonight! I somehow got my friend who knows someone there to get us into the VIP section!" he looked so excited that I was finding it hard to say no to him.
"Fine." I sighed in resignation, making my best friend hug me tightly.
Soon enough, we fall into our usual chattering until our teacher arrives. As usual, school was boring and my only escape from boredom is my trusty best friend. I don't know what my introverted self would've done without his extroverted ass beside me. My mind soon started wandering again, making me zone out. It wasn't until I felt something hit my shoulder that I was brought out from my daydream.
"Can you repeat what I just said, Ms. Amileigh Jones?" Mrs. McIntyre asked, making me blush, knowing that everyone's attention was now at me.
"I-I'm s-sorry M-Mrs. M-McIntyre. I-I zoned out." I stuttered, blushing in embarrassment at being caught daydreaming in class.
"Be thankful that you're a bright student, Ms. Jones. Please stop daydreaming and pay attention to my announcement." She sighed, shaking her head in slight disappointment. I blushed once more before sitting in attention, making sure to focus on Mrs. McIntyre.
"You okay?" whispered Noah from beside me. I nodded and smiled at him before turning back to the front.
"As I was saying, there will be no classes as there was an accident at one of the laboratories. There will be no classes until everything has been assessed. So, after this announcement, everyone may go home. I'll see you all next week." She left the room as soon as she finished her announcement.
"Let's hang out, babe!" Noah shouted, making the others look at him weirdly.
"Can't we just kill some time at my place where we can be crazy without anyone judging?" I looked at him with my puppy-dog eyes until he submitted into what I want.
"Come on, bubs. Let's stop by mine first so I can get a change of clothes."
"Let's go!" I link my arm with his as we made our way to his car.
…
I stared at my reflection on my full-length mirror in disbelief. I wasn't really planning on dressing up. But with Noah being my best friend and him reminding me that we were going to stay at the VIP area of an exclusive club, I had no choice but to let him dress me up. It's been 5 minutes, but I still can't turn away from my reflection. I rarely dressed up. But this time, I couldn't really recognize myself. I looked like a confident and beautiful in my little black sparkling skin-tight dress. It hugged my body and showed all the right curves. My cleavage was on show, my legs were exposed, my hair and makeup were on point and my heels were perfect.
"Are you ready bubs?" my eyes widen when I my best friend. I was aware that he's handsome. But I never thought that he'd be this handsome when he's dressed up.
"Let's go!" I smiled at him as he pulled me with him. He had his keys, jacket and purse in his hand when we got to his car.
Skipping the line to the club, Noah showed the bouncer our invites and passes. We were then allowed into the club. Loud music filled my ears. The smell of sweat filled my nostrils as we passed by the dancefloor. Although there were AC's everywhere, heat radiated all over the place. Noah led me to a posh area of the club. Our table was close to the bar and the dance floor but was separated from others by velvet ropes. There was a menu on the table. Skimming through the menu, Noah ended up buying the first two round of our drinks, with me promising to buy the next two.
The night was young, and so are we. After the first four rounds, we didn't even need to pay for any of the drinks we've consumed. Different people kept sending us drinks while we danced or while we chilled at our table. The more alcohol I consumed, the more I felt free. The more confident I became. I was enjoying my night and as surprising as it may be, I don't regret coming here with Noah.
As the night went on, the more we consumed alcohol. I was well-aware that I am intoxicated, but I didn't give a fuck. I was going to have as much fun as I could. My family raised me to be prim and proper and this is the first time I was letting loose. I was dancing my ass off on the dancefloor. Noah was somewhere close, dancing with someone.
I was minding my own business when muscular arms wrapped around me, dancing with me. I'd usually flinch away from other people's touch. But this one, it was different. Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe it was me not giving a fuck. I let the unknown man dance with me. His skin felt like fire on mine. I didn't feel scared or repulsed of his touch. It felt right. The song was coming to an end. But I didn't want to leave yet. I was torn between staying and walking away. But just as I was about to pull away from him, his hold on my tightened, pushing me closer to his body. My head now leaning on his chiseled chest, his strong arms holding me in place.
"You're not planning on walking away from me right now are you, kitten?" his breath was hot as he whispered to my ear. I felt the vibrations as he spoke. His voice was deep and his tone, dominant. It made me weak on the knees.
"I-I t-thought y-you're f-fine l-letting me g-go." I stuttered into his chest. He pulled away a little, his fingers resting on my chin, making me look up at him. His eyes seemed black in the dark dancefloor. His gaze was intense, but I couldn't look away from him.
"Tsk. Tsk. You aren't walking away from me, kitten. Not tonight. What do you say?" I speechless. I couldn't find the words to say to him. All I could do was nod.
"I want words, kitten." I was captivated. His dominance was making me submit to him.
"Yes." I whispered, finally finding my voice.
"Yes, what?" His face inched closer to mine. I could feel his breath on my lips. The musky scent of his cologne mixed with the scent of the alcohol seemed to intoxicate me more.
"Yes, sir." I breathed out. Smirking at me once more, making me swoon.
"Good kitten." And then his lips met mine.
