Messing with the status screen, flickering it on and off, was pretty cool. However, I needed to regain focus after dispatching the demon – rest in peace, by the way. Over the past month, I had acclimated to my new stats; they were far superior to my past life. Engaging in multiple missions alongside the heroes' party had honed my abilities significantly. My stats were undoubtedly impressive for a hero, but I couldn't lose sight of the current issue at hand.

Our assumption that the A-rank mission would be a cakewalk was ill-conceived. It turned out the boss was no pushover; it was an S-rank monster – a snake-like Naga of unparalleled power. Employing my skill "Blitz," I managed to deftly sidestep its initial attack. Still, I was uncertain whether I could maintain this evasive tactic. My "Blitz" skill had a success rate of seventy percent for dodging attacks, which was decent, but not foolproof.

Over time, our relentless efforts managed to whittle down the Naga's health to half. Suddenly, it went berserk, careening into walls with unbridled fury. Our situation grew dire as the creature's unchecked rampage left us battered and bruised. The Naga's tail struck me with a powerful blow, hurling me against the wall. Blood oozed from my wounds – Silph couldn't withstand such impacts. It seemed my time might be up, and despair loomed.

Desperation forced me to call for Riot, my companion. Yet, when I turned to look, he lay unconscious. Was this to be another death for me? In my moments of doubt, a figure emerged. Wearing a helmet that concealed their features in darkness, the only discernible detail was the faint glow emanating from their headgear. That's the last thing I recall before losing consciousness.

I awoke amidst grass, disoriented and confused. The events remained jumbled in my mind. Regrettably, one of our party members had perished in that accursed dungeon. Determination ignited within me – I swore to become stronge
