The weird soldier gazed at him with a thoughtful expression. When the skeletal orca swam past Asher, it didn't even try to evade him; rather, he was the one evading it. Strangely, it didn't attack him.
The weird soldier narrowed his eyes. "Something's amiss," he thought, but he couldn't grasp what was wrong. Observing Asher's reddened face, he breathed a sigh of relief.
At least Asher was on the brink of death. His eyes darted towards the skeletal orca, which was swimming in his direction.
"Boy, I don't know which world you are from, but remember this in your next life: always keep a low profile," he said with a sneer before swimming away.
Asher watched his retreating form, and then his eyes gleamed with a sense of revelation. He sensed the skeletal orca drawing near. He knew it could smell his blood.
Yet, freezing for a moment, it swam past him.
