Lex continued spamming [Fire bullet] against the now heavily injured Earth lion. After reaching arms length away from the lion, he noticed that the lion's head was severely injured. It's mouth was mangled and unrecognizable. The skin on its face was pretty much non existent.
It was a wonder how the beast was still alive. Lex reached out his left hand and grabbed what was left of the lion's mouth. With his flame infused left hand, he began punching away at the head of the lion , right in between the eyes.
The constant [Fire bullet] attack had tenderized the hard skull of the magical beast, making Lex's job easier. Pieces of flesh, blood and bones scattered everywhere as Lex pounded on the helpless creature. After about 20 punches the lion pretty much did not have a head anymore and Lex let go of the piece of flesh in his hand, prompting the lion's body to fall to the ground with a loud thud.
Suddenly Lex heard the sound of heavy footsteps coming from behind him. The last lion had given up on trying to remove Lex's sword from it's mouth and was running towards him in anger. The tip of the sword dug the terrain as the lion ran , greatly slowing down its advance. Lex had the time to check his status.

'Shit im out of 'Force' ' He thought. Lex did not bother to check his 'Force' expenditure while rapid firing [Flame bullet] against the previous lion. His strength had also gone back to 36 because he currently did not have his sword. Lex could not use [Absorption] because that skill needed at least 2 minutes of complete concentration to activate.

{Lex we need to get the sword back , your strength is not enough to injure this thing we need that strength boost} she advised
Lex started moving towards the lion for a head-on confrontation. When he was 2 meters away from the beast, it jumped at him with claws aiming for his neck. Lex skillfully dodged one claw and reached out to grab his sword's handle . He immediately felt the power boost from the sword and did not hesitate to pull it with all his strength.
The sword ripped through the mouth of the lion and was was back in it's owners hand. Lex had paid the price to get back his sword as he had managed to evade the claws aimed at his neck, however the other set of claws had slashed at his chest and created a deep wound from the top of his right shoulder , going down diagonally to his stomach.
Lex grunted while the lion whimpered in pain. With one hand on his bleeding chest and the other tightly gripping his weapon , Lex took a deep breath and steeled his resolve to finish the fight as soon as possible.
Lex ran towards the still stunned lion, his sword outstretched behind him. Reaching a few meters closer, he slashed vertically at his enemy's head. The lion though dodged the attack by swerving to the right, Lex kept the momentum of his sword and turned the sharp edge towards the lion's legs.
In a chopping motion, lex's sword landed and got lodged in the lion's back leg. 'Not this time' He thought as he pulled, slicing a deep wound on the lion. The beast stumbled as the pain set in and Lex used that opportunity to stab his sword into the lion's stomach. The weapon went in one side and came out the other , but the lion was still alive.
'What the fuck !? why is this thing not dying' Lex thought as he took a step to stand in front of the lion. It's mouth was mangled, It's left hind leg was hanging on by a piece of skin and there was a gaping hole through its body but it was still breathing.
Lex held his sword above his head with both hands and in one quick motion stabbed the lion's throat through what was left of it's mouth. Life finally abandoned the beast's eyes as it fell to the ground.
Lex' adrenaline ran out and he finally felt the pain on his back and chest. He quickly took out two blue pills from his pocket and proceed to throw them in his mouth. He then climbed on top of his recent kill and closed his eyes to activate [Absorption].
Two minutes later, Lex opened his eyes to notice that his wounds had stopped bleeding but there where still clear scars on his chest and back. With his 'Force' replenished, Lex set off to continue his mission
After running for 10 minutes though, he couldn't find anything. He had searched the whole village with no sign of any other beast. Lex decided to head over to the building that had the human prisoners.
Reaching there however, there was nothing at all no humans , no lions. There was though the signs of battle at the building's entrance, which hinted to Lex that his team was here not too long ago. A bad feeling surfaced from Lex as he was imagining the worst 'What if they all died or where captured and taken somewhere else' he thought in horror.
Before jumping to scary conclusions,Lex ran as fast as he could to the hill where team Cursed is supposed to regroup. Reaching there he was pleasantly surprised to find his whole team there with worried expressions on their faces.
They all ran to him as soon as they saw him approach
"Lex !! What happened to you ? are you ok , i was so worried " Linda said before quickly correcting her statement "I mean the team was worried".
"Im fine guys i will explain everything later but for now i need help carrying the bodies of lion's i killed" Lex spoke
"Huh? you need help with that?" Adam asked confused
"Yah come on let's go" Lex said already moving towards his battlefield with team Cursed behind him
"Lex did you do this ? "Laura asked looking at the corpse of the lion in front of them. There was a clear sign of disbelief and fear in her eyes. Lex noticed that even his team members seem to be greatly surprised, but not as much as Laura.
"Yes this is one of the lions i killed, the other two are over there and over there " Lex said pointing at the other bodies in the distance. Laura's expression turned to extremely shocked at that point.
"Lex " she started " these are all rank 2 lions"
