The group started walking in the direction of the explosions that were going off now far from them. Lex was in front while holding his Gearhearts. He looked at the three cats in front of him and spoke. ''Can you girls scout the area?''
They all nodded before agreeing. Midnight was the first to vanish along with Peri. Nephthys stayed close, which caused Lex to become curious and ask. ''Why ain't you going with them, Nephy?''
When the red cat heard his pet name for her, she got overly excited but hid the fact and answered. ''I want to stay close to you, Master.''
Lex nodded and turned to the girls. ''Do any of you feel that?''
He felt the mana shift and something ominous washed over him, causing a shiver to run across his body. Lex shook his head and charged the Gearhearts as the girls prepared their weapons.
