After leaving the palace, Lex returned home to find only Lila and his girls there. Leanna, Tila, Ava, and his father, Gavriel, were absent.
Lila greeted him with an excited smile as she ushered him to sit down, and when he did, Eve, Silika, and Ayla joined in on the sofa as he recounted what had happened.
By the time he was finished, they all were looking at him with narrowed eyes. Lex stretched his head before commenting. ''You're telling me the emperor and empress want you to marry the second princess Emilia Valvania?''
He nodded innocently before answering. ''Yes. But it's because they wronged the Dawnstriders and want to repair the damage the empress done.''
