Lex chuckled and tore a piece off, offering it to Midnight. The little cat curled up in his lap, contentedly munching away.
Observing this scene, Silika asked curiously, "Where did you get her from? She seems to love you."
He nodded before replying as he stroked Midnight. ''Another monster killed her mother, and I took her in.''
Silika smiled. "That's nice of you. To be honest, I never thought you were into things like that. You were always so quiet."
Lex smiled warmly before opening up to Silika. "You know, when I got hurt, something changed inside me. I decided I wanted to live life differently, better. And here I am, finding joy in unexpected places."
