Nicholas smiled as he watched her car disappear from view, and then he turned back to the house, feeling a sense of satisfaction.
As he entered the living room, he saw his father, seated in the living room, and he raised a brow, "Why are you alone, Dad? Why haven't you retired to your bedroom for the night yet?" Nicholas asked even though he suspected that his father was waiting for him.
"I wanted to speak with you alone." Richard said and gestured for him to sit beside him.
Nicholas sat down, sensing the seriousness in his father's tone. "What is this about?" He asked curiously.
Richard looked thoughtful. "I want to know about your plans for the wedding since it's so short notice. What are your plans for the wedding?"
"We want a quiet wedding," Nicholas replied.
"What do you mean a quiet wedding? Are there noisy weddings?" Richard asked dryly and Nicholas chuckled.
