Kabir arrived at work, but as Naffy, his secretary, briefed him on recent developments, Kabir's mind drifted to the gift from Zaya. He was eager to find out what was inside, but the day's workload didn't allow any breaks. He hoped he'd find a moment during lunch to indulge his curiosity.
Meanwhile, Zaya approached her store with trepidation. The last time she was here, she had a distressing encounter with Zafar, and she was afraid of reliving those memories.
After steeling herself in the car, Zaya entered the store, much to the shock of Sera, her employee. Sera's eyes widened with disbelief.
"Madame Zaya?" Sera asked in awe, approaching her boss.
Zaya smiled warmly. "Sera! It's wonderful to see you."
The two stood in the waiting room at the entrance.
"It really is you, Madame Zaya," Sera said, still trying to process the sight.
Zaya smiled, amused at Sera's disbelief. "Of course, it's me. Were you expecting someone else?" she asked.
