Emily watched them as they talked while eating, her memory suddenly jogging her about her deadline. She gobbled down her food and sprang up to leave, her disguise still firmly in place.
As she wove through the aisle, disaster struck! A hapless waitress bumped into her, spilling a river of juice that sent Emily stumbling backward. Robert, her unexpected saviour, swiftly caught her, saving her from a fall. The sudden jolt threatened to slip her disguise askew, but Emily quickly fixed it, before she immediately balanced herself with Robert's support.
"I'm sorry, ma'am!" The waitress exclaimed, her face red with regret.
"Are you okay?" Robert asked, concern etched on his face.
"I'm fine, thank you," Emily replied, her fake accent thick and hurried, before dashing out of the restaurant like a whirlwind.
She got into the taxi, the taxi screeched to life and sped off, leaving a trail of curiosity in its wake.
