Emily confronted Violet in a hushed tone, her anger visible. "You had the nerve to call me and say time was running out? What's that supposed to mean?"
Violet feigned ignorance, "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Don't play dumb, I caught you red-handed. I'll report this to Nicole Novak if you don't come clean," Emily replied knowing she was lying.
Violet finally cracked, "Okay, fine. I just wanted to rattle you a bit."
Emily was incredulous, "Rattle me? What did I do to deserve that? How could you do such a thing?You're going to regret messing with me."
Earlier, when she had received the mysterious call that left her shaken, she went back to the team and when she tried calling back, Violet's phone rang, exposing her scheme.
"Please don't tell the boss," Violet begged.
Emily seethed, "You've crossed a line. Stay out of my way, and this isn't over." With that, Emily walked back to the team, leaving Violet reeling.
