As they headed home, Emily and Robert beamed with joy. Robert's eyes brightened with excitement as he gently placed his hand on Emily's stomach. "We're having a baby, babe!" he exclaimed.
Emily's smile faltered for a moment, overwhelmed by the sudden reality, but she quickly recovered, her eyes shining with happiness. "Our little miracle," she whispered, her hand covering Robert's.
At home, over dinner, Robert's concern for Emily's well-being shone through. "Promise me you'll take it easy, okay? No stressing or overexerting yourself."
Emily chuckled, "I'm only a few weeks in, I can still handle things."
But Robert's persistence showed he knew her too well. "I know, but just promise me."
Later, as they sat together, Robert noticed Emily's smile had faltered, and her eyes betrayed a flicker of fear. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice soft with concern.
