Kael panicked, His heart raced. The room felt like it was closing in. He had to do something
his thoughts wandering in a dark direction, considering the worst possibilities that were racing through his mind.

No, he couldn't let that happen. He had to do something. He took another pill from below the bed and placed it in Cara's mouth. It travelled within her mouth, arriving at her neck and blocking the curse. The pill inside her mouth dissolved into a bright fluid, creating a membrane around that cursed core, further blocking the curse's advancement.
Once again, questions rang in his mind. Would he lose both Cara and Gustin? Then, terrifying thoughts bloomed: "In a single night."
