"Alright, Aahan, pop quiz," Amrita asked him as they were standing in front of the fissure. "How can you determine the incubation period of a fissure?"
"By their colour." Aahan replied.
"ding-ding-ding, now, how old do you think the fissure before us is?"
"A week or two?"
"Wrong... remember the colour sequence; the darker the fissure is, the longer it has been left unchecked." Amrita sighed. "Maybe getting you out of theoretical classes wasn't a good choice after all."
After a few hours of travelling, they had finally reached the city Amrita was talking about. But it wasn't a city... it was more akin to a ghost town.
It had been quite a while since the two of them were there, but interestingly, there was no one in sight apart from a run-down temple and its priest.
