Astrid, with tears streaming down her eyes at the beauty of the order of the lights on the ceiling and the reflected beauty of Aaron's shining eyes, took only one step and stepped through the marvellous curtain of lights.
Her eyes shone with a dark colour that showed the hardness of the darkest ice and the stillness of the coldest water, and her eyelashes were like the pure and perfect feathers of a phoenix. Her hair reflected the light with a colour purer than the purest white, stopping all expression on her face. Her lips seemed as if they would suddenly open and sing the most beautiful song mankind has ever heard, and her features were so beautiful and possessive that even the most beautiful goddesses would envy her.
