Durham Market Square was buzzing with an incredible crowd, food stalls and the like were popping up all around, serving people, and the shopkeepers, their set-up complete, were selling freely. It was the day of the feast and everyone had gathered to celebrate Aaron's birthday. Not only the citizens of Durham, but even nobles from as far away as London had travelled to join in the celebration.
The nobles were kindly entertained and shown to their seats. They were told that a rule had been established in Durham and that everyone was to be treated equally, regardless of lineage, nationality or religion. The only exception would be the royal family of England. That is why the nobles were treated as kindly as the rest of the people.
Durham seemed like another land.
