A jagged fissure raced across the landscape, bisecting the satellite into two massive halves. Chunks of rock, some the size of mountains, were blasted away from the point of impact, spiralling into space.
Massive clouds of lunar dust billowed outward, creating a glowing halo around the fractured moon. Yet, despite the moon being cleaved in two, its core's gravity held the halves suspended in space, preventing them from drifting apart entirely.
The core's gravity, along with the gravitational pull of the nearby planet, ensured that the two halves didn't fly off into the void, instead keeping them tethered, though their surfaces trembled and wobbled precariously.
The jagged edges of the split glowed faintly, remnants of the green energy that had caused the destruction.
Irenot, breathing heavily, allowed a smirk to cross his lips, convinced that even Jamie couldn't have survived such an overwhelming strike.
