Jenny stood there, shocked and unable to process the information.
She still couldn't believe it. She had been with Kevin for two years, and they had only broken up a month ago. Suddenly, he became a billionaire in just a month.
This seemed like a story from a novel, not something that could happen in real life.
"Ma'am, about the payment—" the manager reminded her.
She snapped back to reality when the manager called her.
"Does he think I'm stupid when he claims to be the owner of the hotel?"
She didn't want to believe what Kevin had said.
"Ma'am, Mr. Kevin is indeed the owner of the Hotel Grandiose," the manager replied.
"What?" Jenny was still in shock. She thought Kevin was bluffing.
"It's true, Jenny. We all saw he had a Citadel bank black card too."
Others in the room nodded in agreement.
Owning a black Citadel card was no small feat. It was given to very important people, and it was incredibly rare to see someone with one.
Did Kevin keep his wealth a secret from her? Why did he do that?
The thought that Kevin had lied to her for two years filled her with anger. If he hadn't lied, they could have been together, and she could have had whatever she wanted.
Why did Kevin lie to her all this time?
"So he never loved me in these two years. If he truly loved me, why would he hide things from me?"

A woman wearing a blue top and black jeans is sitting in the cafe, enjoying her coffee. She looks outside at the people trying to shelter from the pouring rain.
Daisy is waiting for someone in the cafe. The person who called said he wanted to talk to her about something.
Daisy's grandfather has a very small group of friends. In a field like business, it's not good to trust others. So, he only has a few people he can trust. Daisy does know a few of them.
But the person her grandfather is closest to is Mr. Flynn. She has met Mr. Flynn quite a few times, but she doesn't know much about the business Mr. Flynn owns. Her grandfather said many people don't know much about Flynn's business as they are pretty secretive.
But she doesn't mind what type of businesses Mr. Flynn owns; he always treats her kindly.
After waiting for a few minutes, a person in his mid-fifties walked towards her table.
"Hello Daisy," Daisy looked up at the person who called her.
"Mr. Harry, it's been a long time," Daisy greeted Mr. Harry.
Mr. Harry sat in front of her on the chair and ordered a cup of coffee for himself.
"How are you doing these days, Daisy?" Mr. Harry questioned.
"I..." Daisy doesn't know what to say. She wanted to share her situation with him, but she dont know if she could trust anyone again.
After her grandfather's death, she was afraid to trust anyone except Lucy, as they were close friends. Now, even Lucy has betrayed her. She's afraid to put her trust in someone again."
But she does remember how Mr. Harry and Mr. Flynn were kind to her. She reassured herself that she could trust them.
"My father is forcing me to marry Mr. Philip," Daisy said.
"Mr. Philip, you mean that playboy? Everyone knows about the bad reputation he has. Is your father using you as a pawn?" Mr Harry was furious.
Daisy recalled how her father had forced her to go with Mr Philip yesterday and how he had treated her.
"Doesn't he care that he brought his fiancée with him and danced with some random girl? Daisy, if you marry someone like him, you'll have to suffer all your life," Mr Harry was angry when he heard how Mr Philip treated her.
"Mr. Harry, do you know anything about my grandfather's death?" Daisy suddenly changed the topic.
"Your grandfather's death?" Mr. Harry didn't understand why she changed the topic. He felt maybe she didn't want to talk about it, so he didn't ask her.
"Your grandfather died in a car accident, right? Isn't this something we all know about?" Mr Harry was confused about why she suddenly asked about her grandfather's death.
"No, it wasn't an accident," Daisy said, trembling.
"What do you mean, Daisy?" Mr. Harry questioned her.
"I overheard my father talking to someone, and they were discussing how they planned to kill my grandfather and make it look like an accident," Daisy said, tears welling up in her eyes.
Mr Harry was shocked, listening to Daisy's words. The people involved were very dangerous, and he was worried about Daisy's safety.
"Daisy, where are you staying right now?" He asked.
"After finding out what happened to grandpa, I don't want to stay in my house, so I'm staying in a hotel for now," Daisy replied.
