Kevin is sitting next to Mr. Harry in the driver's seat. Along the ride, Kevin can't help but wonder about Mr. Flynn's past and what Mr. Harry might be hiding from him.
Eventually, they reach Springfield. The guard greets them with respect. Mr. Harry gives them the necessary documents, and the security guard carefully examines them. Once everything is finished, the guard lets them enter Springfield.
"Welcome to Springfield." the guard said with a smile.
As they drove by, Kevin saw many luxurious houses. Each house had its own unique style. Finally, Mr. Harry stopped the car in front of a house.
"Kevin, starting today, this will be your home," he said.
Kevin looked at the house with amazement. Owning a house had always been a dream, but he never imagined it would be such a grand three-story villa.
Following Mr. Harry, Kevin walked around the property. The gardens were neatly trimmed, and there were plenty of places to relax outside.
Mr. Harry opened the door, and Kevin was amazed at what he saw inside. He couldn't find words to describe it.
After the tour, Kevin couldn't close his mouth. He was so impressed. Mr. Harry left him alone in the house and told him to rest.
Kevin went to the main bedroom, opened the door, and put away the clothes he had brought the day before. Then he went out to the balcony. The view was stunning, filled with lovely flowers and pretty trees. He could even see the lake in the middle of Springfield. He knew he would enjoy this view every day. He sat there, taking in the scenery for a long while.
Kevin wanted to explore Springfield, so he stepped outside his house. The air outside felt crisp and clean. He took a big breath before he started walking.
While he was walking, he accidentally bumped into someone.
"Oh, my apologies," the other person said.
Kevin glanced up and saw a young man in his twenties. He felt he recognized him but couldn't remember where they met.
"Wait, he's Jenny's new wealthy boyfriend," Kevin realized.
He had forgotten entirely about Jenny and their breakup.
"No, I wasn't really paying attention," Kevin admitted.
"I don't think I remember seeing you here," the man asked.
"Yep, I'm new here and just moved in. I live in that house," Kevin pointed to his home.
The young man looked at the direction Kevin indicated.
"Oh, so you're the mysterious person who got that house. Usually, when someone buys a house here, everyone knows who it is. But no one knows who bought your house," the young man added. "I'm Ricky Ashford," Ricky introduced himself.
"I'm Kevin Flynn," Kevin replied.
"I'd be happy to show you around since you're new here," Ricky offered.
"Thanks, I appreciate that," Kevin accepted.
After that, they sat on the bench near the lake and started chatting about different things. Kevin felt happy that he could make a new friend so fast.
Just then, someone called him. Ricky sighed and answered the phone.
"Jenny, I still need some more time to talk to my dad," Ricky explained.
Kevin couldn't hear Jenny's side of the conversation.
"Jenny, I've got something important to do right now.I'll call you back later," Ricky said before ending the call.
Kevin noticed a picture of Jenny on Ricky's phone.
"This might be the opportunity," Kevin thought to himself.
"Wait, are you talking to this Jenny?" Kevin asked.
Ricky responded simply with a "Yeah."
"So, you do know this b*tch?" Kevin remarked.
"Huh? B*tch?" Ricky looked confused.
