When Alina didn't come back after a week had gone by, since their last argument that made her leave, Marissa knew that she wasn't going to be back. Afterall, she quitted her work at the diner, and probably she wasn't in the country anymore since she has on a rare occasion, eavesdropped on her conversation with her parents about leaving the country.
Marissa has adapted with the changes that it was now going to be her and her baby, but it seemed like she made a mistake because it wasn't a ghost she was seeing, but Alina, standing in front of her.
Tears filled her eyes seeing her, and before she knew it she hugged Alina, while confessing how bad it was of her to do what she did after finding out about Giovanni.
"I'm really sorry, Alina. I didn't know what came over me, I just…" She blabbered on, even though some of her words weren't clear to Alina, which made her cut into her words to calm her down.
