Chapter 5 - Chapter 4: Money bag (Hidaka)

As I walked home I could see Liam of in a distance running at breakneck speed. As he tried to sprint past me I tripped him over and caught his hand before he could fall.

"How was your trip?"

"Very funny."

We walked all the way home together, bragging about our win during dodge ball. Since it was the weekend Liam wanted to stay over at my place, he won't admit it but it's probably because his mom will be home constantly till monday. His family life really makes me worry about him, still though, as long as we stick together we'll all be fine. Once we reached the scrapyard we found Hisashi talking to my older brother, Sweet. He was in his dorky hero costume, a red dive suit with small black metal plates on certain parts of his body. He also had a huge red Cape and a gigantic bullseye on his chest. (Every time I see that thing I wanna burn it.)

"I can't believe you're still insistent on wearing that dumb cape, doesn't it slow you down when you swim?" asked Hisashi

"Hey don't insult the heros cape kid, besides it works not only as wing suit but also as a shield from fire. It was Hida's invention a few years back and it help me a lot even on my beach side missions."

"Bro, hi."

"Hida! How was school?"

"We killed it in the dodge ball game."

"Wait you actually participated in something fun, wow who paid you?

"I'll have you know I like fun stuff. Anyway, you headed to the docks."

"Yep, those stupid "State Hero's" think they can hurt and kill who ever they want and it's all because of Aamon Kara-no-..."

"SWEET!" I then hinted toward Liam.

"Oh...sorry Liam, I know he's your grandpa and all."

"It's cool." he said looking ashamed.

"Anyway duty calls. Later, Point Blank awaaaaaay."

He whoooshed away at top speed disappearing into the sunset. (Honest I wish I had a toolkit to fix HIM) We then walked into the House and down into HQ.

"Now that your brother is gone we can get to work." said Hisashi, (I feel bad about keeping my criminal life away from my brother but what choice do I have, we need the money and hero work here doesn't pay much if you aren't on the Kara-no-goki payroll and that's like signing your soul to the devil. Stealing is what's keeping us alive.)

"Alright my fellow dragons, I found our next hit." said Hisashi

"Finally, I've been itching to do something sketchy. What you got?" asked Liam

"Here." he pulled out a hand drawn blueprint, compliments of his miso "blueprint" no less. He can scan a structure, vehicle or item and draw a perfect blueprint of it. "It's a new outlet store for jewelry in Lavender City. Diamonds, gold watches, you name it they have it. Once we steal them we can sell them, I should be able to shave off half of my ten million debt to the Peacekeepers."

"Wait you actually want us to rob a jewelery store in the main city, you know...rich people territory where police response is hard and fast, security is like that of a bond film and roads are like a maze? That Lavender City?" I asked.

"Yah that's the one."

"Right, I'll prep my funeral plan."

"It won't be that bad, look all we gotta do is break in, hold up the the police while I grab the gems and get out. All in five minutes."

"Oh is that all?" I asked with concern in my voice

"Pretty much. Look, we'll be fine as long as you follow the plan. Now then, shall we."

Once Hisashi gave us the run down we got up and ready.

"Suit up!" Yelled Liam.

As I went to my room to change into my costume my hand began to shake a little, something felt off about this mission, about Hisashi. He's never pushed for us to do a mission this dangerous before, I bet it's because of The Peacekeepers. His brothers debt...it's killing him. As I thought that my heart felt sore. No, he won't die, as long as Liam and I have his back nothing can stop us.

We all met at the front gate. Liam had a military like outfit, a black utility jacket with purple and green camo pants. Hisashi had a vest and a green and purple suite, he could easily pass for a bartender if he wanted to with that look, especially since he's a few years older than us....20. For me it was a Green and black shirt, a green and purple girdle lined with tools, a medium-sized backpack, mini shorts with thigh-high boots and construction gloves and goggles. As we each admired each others villain outfits we all put on our signature Dark purple gasmasks with green neon teeth and lights. My nerves washed over me as we parkoured our way to the Store. With each rooftop my heart rate increased, willingly marching to deaths door. If it wasn't for the midnight cold, I probably would have turned red with worry, I couldn't let the boys know how I felt. One last jump and there it was, Radient gem. The jewelry store was now just a street away. It may have been small but it sure was fancy. beautiful glass windows dazzled with little fairy art shone a brilliant ember. The door was a dark oak, designed with twisting trees and vines with green painted leaves and purple fruits. Just looking at the store felt like a worth while steal. Unfortunately our hearts soon sank at what we noticed next. We could see lights and cars, hear music and people, feel dread and cold. What a time to be alive.

"NO NO NO NO, they were supposed to be closed! We have to turn back." Yelled Hisashi

"No we don't." Replied Liam. "We can use them as collateral if the police come after us."

"I have no objections, most of those rich snobs are why people like my brother and Hisashi here live in poverty. We can kill'em if need be." my breath was like ice when I said that.

"No, no killing, their just people Hida. Anyway Hisashi, grab the bags, Hida and I are on crowed control. When the police come I'll deal with them personally."

"No need, I have a guy for that part, but still though, I don't like this. The police will be here almost immediately." Hisashi replied.

"Alright then, move out."

Maybe this was a bad idea, maybe we should turn back since we still have time. Liam grinned at me

"Hey Hida, watch this."

Liam dive-kicked through the window and everyone in the store screamed. Watch how panicked and frantic they all were set my heart alight, my fear vanished and joy filled my soul. Finally I was convinced, we'll be fine. Hisashi helped us rally everyone together in one corner then I gave Liam a hand pistol, it's an empty airsoft cannon so chill, but it looks very convincing though.

"Alright you two faced pinch pennies and boot kissers, pipe down and listen up, my friend Gears..." Liam said pointing at me.

"...has a vendetta against half the people in here and I had to pull her back from turning all of you into a past tense...don't make me regret my decision." I pulled out a miniature chainsaw I made with my miso and looked at them all. "Go on, piss me off."

Hisashi was already hard at work smashing glass and collecting the jems, he had grabbed a cashier to help him fill all the bags. Then I heard it police sirens out side.

"Damn it." Yelled Hisashi

As we looked in panic, the guy with Hisashi had a phone.

I reved my chainsaw ready to hack but Liam stopped me.

"It doesn't matt..." there was a massive explosion outside. "....the hell? (That must be Hisashi's backup, guess things aren't going we'll.) "I'll see if I can help out." said Liam

"No I will, you just watch them." I responded.

"Fine go."

I ran out the door as fast as I could. I opened the door and saw the scene, ten police cars were huddled together making a blockade of five a side with a little kid wearing camo pants, a black tank top and our crew's mask standing in the centre. He was hiding behind two metal shields on either side throwing something small at the cars causing huge explosions. Behind him was a tall beautiful lady in a lab coat who also had our mask. I wanted to help but the gunfire was heavy on both sides. A hero came onto the scene.

"Stand back I'll fry all of them in one move." he yelled in a deep husky voice, he was almost twice my height and excessively muscular.

"...but wait sir, there's still a civilian in the area, she got in the way and was accidentally shot." yelled an officer who I guessed was the chief. I scanned the area and then horror washed over me, The lab-coat lady was busy working on a short but a little stalky girl with short black and pink hair comed over one side and shaved off the other, it was Terra. She had a bullet wound on her shoulder and was screaming in agony.

"The boss gave me full clearance to kill, we can think of her as...a necessary sacrifice." upon hearing that I ran to Terra jumping from bullets aimed at my feet. The boy quickly reacted and tossed somthing small and it created a massive and dusty explosion. I grabbed Terra and used my body to shield her as the blow back and debree came suddenly and I was hit by what felt like a truck. My vision blurred as the kid ran to me sounding panicked.

"Oh no, Vesta don't kill me for this."

I blinked and suddenly I was being dragged....

"Oh no my bag, he shot my bag."

I blinked again and now I was in a van with group of people yelling at one another. Hisashi was wiping blood off my face and goggles.

"Hey trooper, you took a bad hit today but you'll be fine. We lost two bags."

"Are we all alright though?"

"Ya."

"...and Terra?"

"Pain killer patched her up and sent her down a safe alleyway." he must be talking about the lab coat lady.

"WATCH OUT!" yelled Liam.

Suddenly everything was upside down again, the van was hit by a police van and it flipped over into a public park. Hisashi managed to protect me from more pain but got stabbed in the chest with metal. We all crawled out as fast as possible as the van caught fire.

"Hida, you okay?"

"ME, YOU GOT STABBED."

"Haha, tis but a flesh wound."

Liam then called to us as he left the wreckage. "We need to split up...now. We can meet up at the HQ, Pain killer; Shockwave you know where that is?"

"Ya." answered the little boy.

"Good let's split, Hisashi...the bag." he gave it to him, " and Dragons...don't die." We all ran in different directions, hoping to meet again. Soon the sun rose up in a distance and the chase was on.
