The journey was long, and stressful - but Zephyra and Dagon eventually found themselves just off shore from the castle. Far from the sandy beach, the two of them came up to the top deck as the moon began to rise in the sky.
The entire way here, they hadn't said much. They had only used words to communicate basic things - but no intellectual conversation came up, nor did any sessions to plan their next move.
Worst of all, Dagon could tell that Zephyra was upset - but he had no idea how to comfort her. Each time he had tried, she shrugged him off, or rebuked him. Part of him wondered if she was angry with him at all - but the half that knew her told him that something else had been on her mind.
...Finally, she revealed it as they stood on the top deck and watched the castle come to life as the lights in the windows began to glow a soft orange.
