With the sun already risen, Azier and his wives were tucked back into the utmost crevices of the cave where they were certain the light could not touch them.
He only slept briefly, and awoke before any of them had even turned in their sleep. There was something that calmed him about the waves of the sea and the rhythmic breath that each of them pushed out from their mouths and noses.
As he stared up at the uneven, and rocky ceiling of the cave, he formulated plots and plans of how he could approach the humans without them being left completely terrified. There had to be a way... and maybe instead of the whole 'God' thing, maybe he just needed to blend in at first?
Maybe Amyra would know.... For now, he imagined the unknown creatures to look hideous, or lopsided - like those corpses he had seen just a few hours earlier.
