Tobias awoke in the morning to begin a new day of study. As usual he warmed himself a cup of blood, looked to his prior notes on his desk, and decided which subject would interest him today.
It was as normal as normal could be - except for that little reminder in the back of head from the disturbance last night. Still irked about it, he wondered if the beautiful Kraken who protected his home had finished its meal and came up briefly for a scan of the surface.
He did so love to see the creature when it came up for its morning promenade and what he felt was a security check. The young scholar smiled at the prospect of such a site, and opted to take his morning sustenance with him up to the tall tower where the sun was blocked by boarded up windows - save for a little bit that popped through the cracks, but that did very little harm to his skin, and what damage it did do was easily healed quickly.
