Dagon had come completely smitten with Zephyra, and it had only been two full days together. She was smart, beautiful, fierce, disciplined, and wise. He longed to know more about her, but he also wasn't about to covet one of Azier's wives.
That was beneath him.
Instead, he'd perhaps try to see how close the two were. It wasn't unheard of for one male to release a female from her bond to him in order for her to become betrothed to another... or they simply died and the contract was broken naturally.
Either way - there was hope if he really, really desired her.
With the new realization for how lonely he actually was, it made it hard for him to not dream of her clothes being stripped off by him - that was, if she would even be interested in a half-metal man whose face was beyond recognition.
