It was a coward's way out - but at least it gave Yrsula some peace and security when she switched to the day crew on the ship. He hadn't approached her since that night of the big blow-up, and just in case he changed his mind, she wanted to make sure he couldn't approach her when he felt brave enough.
There was nothing to talk about.
He lied to her...Well...he hid the truth from her. It was the same damned thing. Either way, she was crushed and the last thing she wanted to see was his face. Even if it was nice to look at.
Dead tired, she had a hard time with the work she was tasked to keep up with. It turned out that setting sails, and batting down hatches was a lot harder than she ever dreamed it would be. The ropes themselves were heavy, and scratched her hands when she tried to keep her hold on them.
It was so hard that she relegated herself to clean the deck and put more items down into storage that had been left up there.
