"You bitch! I'll fucking kill you!" Bastion roared as Evyra let go of his newly jagged feet and let his body slam into the side of the castle wall with gravity on her side.
"I look forward to it, you overgrown egg." Evyra hissed and rounded into the castle through an opened window.
The instant her nose took in the scent of the room, her stomach lurched forward. It smelled of death, decay, and something she couldn't place that had a musty sweetness to it. Altogether it was foul beyond description, and she had to pinch her nose before she gagged too hard to breath.
Perhaps she should have chosen one of the rooms that had been lit - but this was the closest and easiest to access - and there had to be a light source somewhere around here...A self-lighting candle, or a rune that switched on something...
