What had started out as something fun and whimsical, had now become something dreadful and miserable.
The rain hadn't let up for a few hours now, and they had been stuck in the same place now for much longer than either of them had anticipated. It was just too damned cold to leave, and both of them had become hungry, tired, and neither of them could seem to start a fire and then keep it alive.
"Come on, damn it..." Evyra hissed as she tried for the fourth time to start a spark with the rocks and tinder she had tried to set up, but they had become so wet that it wasn't possible anymore. Frustrated, she kicked the little pile over and sank her head into her hands with a groan.
"I have never had such a hard time starting a fire before..." the warrior lamented and huddled next to Sera who shivered and whimpered in misery.
