Azier's head hurt badly. It pounded behind his eyelids, and he swore he saw beats of light with each pulse that wracked his senses. He groaned as he turned over in the bed he was in, and let out a louder grunt of pain as the adjustment only made the pain intensify.
His sense of smell was even 'blurry' as all of his senses were nullified by the surge of stabs that infiltrated his skull and pierced the very core of his brain. It felt like lightning traveled down to the middle of his back and returned the same way to the top of his head over and over again, and it was the most uncomfortable he had been in quite a long time.
He had no idea where he was, but he figured maybe he had somehow gotten back to the castle, or perhaps maybe he even dreamed the entire thing up and he had never left in the first place. Either way, he didn't really think much about it as his capacity for greater thinking was halted by each lightning strike that originated from his skull.
