There wasn't much fanfare to be had when they finally left the old, decayed castle and started inland where the capitol of his maternal family's power had been for centuries. Maybe there was something left in the old city for them to discover, and his gut instinct hadn't been wrong yet.
He briefly debated on the castle's destruction, but Azier thought better of it and decided to leave it as it was. Maybe it was nostalgia. Maybe it was something even dumber - but he just wanted to keep it around, just in case. Plus, it had been the happiest place he could think of, and what if he needed somewhere to hide again?
It was honestly just a little hard to leave at first, too - because he was still so tired from all the mana he expelled and from the morning's sensual activities. However, he forced himself out of bed, and pressed onward.
