He left her to search on her own on the second floor as he made his way to the third without her presence - which gifted him a little room to breathe. It was nice to be able be on his own in the middle of all this chaos, and to not have to put on a show of strength, or save face.
As he rounded back into the giant atrium on the right side of the hallway again, he looked over at all the doors to see which ones were the most intact since they probably had the most to spare inside of them. However, nothing looked like it was in tact. Nothing looked untouched just like the rest of this shit hole.
"Fuuuuuck," Azier sighed out in exasperation as he tilted his head back in frustration. Maybe this was just wasted time after all.
No, he couldn't think that way - not right now. He knew if he just gave up now, he'd probably just rot away in here until the earth swallowed the entire palace. So, he had no choice but to continue on.
