Chereads / Lin Feng: My Roulette / Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Lin Feng was admittedly nervous to fight for the first time. If it were up to him, he would rather face opponents who were 3 realms lower than himself for safety. He unsheathed his sword and immediately unleashed the only fighting skill he knew. 'Thunder strike,' he shouted

Back on earth, Lin Feng from watching too many anime movies had the notion that shouting out the name of the skill increased the strength of the attack. The first bodyguard was caught off-guard and injured but not too badly. Lin Feng retreated 2 steps in surprise. 'My protagonist halo is a bit lacking, how come I can't get rid of a lowly bodyguard' he thought gloomily.

The guard didn't waste time and were upon him in seconds. Lin Feng closed his eyes in fear and released several thunder strike slashes with all his might. The ensuing silence caused him to open his eyes and have a look. To his surprise he found all the guards had been incapacitated and three had even lost their lives while some had their limbs chopped off.

Lin Feng immediately bent over to vomit but nothing came out and he only wretched. A warm refreshing feeling flowed down from his head washing away any disgust he had. He immediately knew it was he effect of the cultivators will talent.

'Apparently this talent also allows me to endure emotional distress that normal people would find hard to bear' he thought.

He composed himself and looked at the scene closely and that's when it hit him on what he had been missing in the first attack. Having never been in a fight before, Lin Feng had even forgotten to implement his sword intents into his attacks. When he closed his eyes in panic and used all his strength, he subconsciously unleashed sword intent and that's what led to this scene.

Lin Feng blushed in embarrassment. His first fight was too embarrassing to talk about. 'Hopefully only the results will spread rather than my embarrassing fighting style' he thought.

Ning Xian who had been atop her horse was seated in a daze on the ground surrounded by a pool of blood. Her horse was missing a head and was laying down next to her. Looking at her bodyguards some whose wounds were decaying due to the effect of the darkness intent, she let out a heart wrenching scream which could only be compared to that of a ghost.

Lin Feng had almost forgotten about this little witch and immediately moved to silence her. He hated this kind of spoilt and entitled personality the most. Before he could land a blow however, the other members of the sect arrived just in time to stop him. Lin Feng withdrew his sword and stared at them, in the moment he moved to attack, his regressed cultivation had most likely been exposed. A drop of sweat rolled down the side of his face despite his calm demeanor.

'What have you done!!' shouted the flame sword. All the other elders had shock on their faces as they assessed the situation.

It dawned on Lin Feng that he may have been caught in the classic trope of having eyes and not seeing Mt. Tai. 'it would seem I have put myself in a pretty troublesome situation' he mused. 'The elders have done their fair share of killings so for them to react in this manner despite just killing a few guards then the status of this lady must be rather high. No matter, if push comes to shove I might as well flee the sect.'
