"Using our remarriage to get revenge on me?" Jared Hughes stared intently at Betsy Russell.
Betsy's smile faded, and she didn't speak, just calmly looked at Jared.
Jared seemed to understand what Betsy was thinking and pursed his lips, saying, "If you don't want to remarry, we don't have to. Don't feel pressured..."
Before Jared could finish, Betsy interrupted, "Sir Hughes can't wait any longer, so let's do it as soon as possible!"
Russell now just wanted to put an end to all this and not have any further involvement with the Hughes family.
The light in Jared's eyes dimmed, and he said with a hint of disappointment, "Betsy, whether you want to remarry or get revenge on me, I'm willing to bear it. If you want the Hughes family, I'll give it to you without any hesitation."
