Jared Hughes' dark eyes narrowed slightly, looking coldly at Thad Drew, his thin lips hooked into a faint curve. "So, she's the stand-in for the one you like?"
"Ding!"
The elevator doors opened slowly, and Jared, with a cold face, walked out first, his expression filled with concern.
It seemed that he would have to keep a close watch on Betsy Russell, or Thad might make a move on her.
"Mr. Hughes, by what authority are you saying these things?" Thad walked out of the elevator and caught up with Jared's pace, speaking coldly, "You two are already divorced, and you are nothing more than her despised ex-husband. You have no right to interfere with my pursuit of Betsy."
Thad quickly walked in front of Jared, blocking his path, turned around, and looked at Jared with a gloomy face, saying, "And let me tell you, Betsy is not anyone's substitute. I like her, and I'm going to marry her."
Thad's words were like needles piercing directly into Jared's heart, causing him unbearable pain.
