Heather Scott couldn't help but smile, laughing as she said, "No, he made it."
Betsy Russell looked at Heather curiously, noticing her blush, and quickly figured it out, saying, "Officer Blogger?"
"Yeah, he finished his work and has the day off. He heard you were sick, so he made food and brought it over to bribe you!" Heather's face beamed with a brilliant smile, as if she were falling in love.
"As long as you're happy, I have no objections." Betsy wasn't worried that Heather would be bullied. In her mind, it was always Heather who was bullying others. "Since he brought the food, why didn't you invite him to stay and eat with us?"
"I'm not joining you for dinner tonight. You eat by yourself; he and I are going out to eat and then enjoy a wonderful evening together."
After saying this, Heather laughed and got up, glancing at the time. "Natalie will be here soon, and I feel at ease knowing you'll have her company. If anything comes up, just give me a call."
