Betsy Russell, engrossed in her game, peeked at Jared Hughes with a raised eyebrow, asking, "What's up?"
Jared Hughes, upon hearing her words, retorted, "I heard that since the party at the James family, you've been preparing a wedding dress."
Having won the round, Betsy put away her phone.
Striding over to Jared, she perched herself onto his lap, hands curling around his neck, playfully questioning, "I originally planned to secretly arrange the wedding and surprise you. Are you upset?"
"No," Jared's voice held a hint of indifference.
Softly, Betsy pleaded, "Don't be upset."
"If the doctor is studying the surgery and you remember everything now, it means the blood clot has shifted. You …"
"Jared, don't be mad. I know it was wrong to keep you in the dark, but I never intended to do so for long. I just thought I'd tell you after the wedding dress was prepared." Betsy looked at Jared with a soft smile, "Don't you want to get married sooner?"
