Jared Hughes quickly signed for the parcel when the delivery man told him this.
The delivery man was startled by Jared's eagerness and left as soon as he got the signature.
Jared put the box on the ground and opened it to find a bone ash urn and a small box. Inside the small box was a ring.
With trembling hands, Jared picked up the urn only to find a letter underneath it.
He opened the letter and saw that it was written by Vicki Lindsey.
"Jared Hughes, you ungrateful man, I should have been Mrs. Hughes, but you got together with Betsy Russell instead. I don't want to argue with you about these things anymore. But why did the Hughes family want to exterminate my family? I killed Betsy Russell, chopped her up, and fed her to the dogs. The remaining bone ash has already been sent to you. All of this is what you owe me!"
Jared's hands trembled as he held the letter, not wanting to believe that Betsy was gone.
