Fanny Sabir and Jared Hughes watched as Betsy Russell and Isa Hughes were led onto a van.
Betsy seemed composed, but Isa was different; she had been crying the whole time.
Fanny turned her head towards Jared and said seriously, "You go save Betsy, I'll take care of Isa's side!"
"But..."
"There's no but. Don't worry, Isa will be fine," Fanny said with a grave expression.
Jared booked a flight to Rocky Mountain directly.
On the way to the airport, Jared's face was expressionless. Though his hands were shaking, it was the first time he ever felt so afraid—afraid that Betsy would be harmed and that he would not be able to save her.
"Did you find Vicki Lindsey?" Jared's gaze fell upon Bill Treiber, who was sitting in the passenger seat next to him.
"Miss Russell's secretary said that they found the place where Vicki used to stay, but she hasn't been there recently!"
